About the Customer: RITZ CARLTON HOTEL, BAHRAIN

Situated on the north coast of Bahrain, this seven-story, luxury resort, with 245 newly renovated rooms and suites, is location with a 20-acre urban resort complex on the seafront of Manama. The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa has an understand charm and intimacy that is the very essence of Arabia.

Solution Highlights:

Almoayed Group has deployed complete Enterprise Network using Cisco core and edge switches for the hotel’s administration, guest rooms and villas. This was the first installation ever for the hotel in Bahrain using Cisco. The entire hotel was raised on wireless LAN both internally as well as externally. LAN was deployed using 4500 series switches. The Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series is mid-range modular switch series that offers non-blocking layer 2 through layer 4 switching capabilities. The Cisco Catalyst 4500 series extends control to the network edge with intelligent network services including predictable performance, advance security, comprehensive management and integrated resiliency. We also deployed 2950 edge switches; it is a stackable standalone switch that provides wire-speed Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The passive components used are from IBDN Nordx. NORDX/CDT currently manufactures over 2000 different product including cables, connectors and patch panels. All the locations are connected via composite fiber optic cable providing gigabit backbone connectivity with the deployment of two core switches on a cluster. On certain areas within the hotel, Proxim wireless networking solution is deployed.
