About the Customer: CIO (CENTRAL INFORMATICS ORGANIZATION), BAHRAIN GDN BACKBONE

The Central Informatics Organization (CIO) a part of the Bahrain Government, handles the entire planning and implementation of IT in the Government. The CIO is responsible for the overall IT strategy and the infrastructure for the entire government.

Solution Highlights:

Almoayed Group deployed the prestigious project of CIO to design & implement the new Government Data Network (GDN) on frame relay with ISDN backup as the Backbone of Bahrain. The solution will enable Government (Ministries ,Directorates and all other Government departments) to connect the GDN and access applications and data. Almoayed Group supplied Cisco 2500 series routers for setting up GDN. The solution is a unique example of the Almoayed Group’s capabilities in customizing a solution based solely upon customer requirements at lowest possible costs. Our engineers have implemented Wireless Links to deliver 100Mbps using first ever infrared technology from PAV and 34 Mbps microwave links using stratex technology as Bachbone connectivity within various Government Ministries of the Kingdom.
