Dr. Nawaf N. Almoayed was honored by the Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa on the recent completion of his Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering (Microwave Engineering & Wireless Communications) from Tufts University, USA.  Dr. Almoayed has taken up the role of Executive Director at Almoayed Group with the vision of using his vast knowledge in the ICT sector to promote technological growth in the Kingdom of Bahrain and align the strategies of the Company with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.  "I wish to thank HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and the Ministry of Education for awarding me with this honor and I hope to use my strong educational background to  support the solid growth of the ICT sector in Bahrain and ensure that we as a Company are in sync with the Bahrain's Vision 2030 moving forward" , Dr. Almoayed said.

Almoayed Group wins "The Best ICT solutions provider 2009 in Bahrain

The eGovernment Authority of Bahrain awarded Almoayed Group as 'The Best ICT solutions provider in the Kingdom', at the eGovernment excellence award ceremony, held at Sheikh Isa Cultural Centre on 25th May 2009.

The award was presented by H.E Shaikh Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to Mr. Nabeel Almoayed, Chairman of Almoayed Group.

This award recognizes Almoayed Group for successfully supporting e-government and government agencies with Infrastructure, IT Security, Telecommunication, Business Management solutions, and consultancy services. The award also acknowledges Almoayed Group for implementing best of class ICT solutions and services in Bahrain.

Mr. Nabeel Almoayed, Chairman, Almoayed Group, expressed his delight on achieving this milestone and thanked the Government for acknowledging the Group's superior capabilities to deliver the best of ICT solutions in Bahrain.

Almoayed Systems Group & Symantec showcased latest Storage optimization solutions- Seminar

E- Govt & Almoayed Systems Group in ERP & HR Management Systems Deal

E-Govt Agency appointed Almoayed Systems Group (ASG) Bahrain, a leading Enterprise Solutions company in Bahrain to deploy RYTE HRMS & SAGE Financial Solution.

Speaking at the contract signing ceremony Mr. Khalid Abdulla Al - Bastaki, Head HR & Finance Directorate, EGA said This solution will help EGA integrate renowned SAGE ERP system and custom developed RYTE HRMS solution in order to centralize information, integrate all the business functions and allow for greater accuracy in reporting and strategic decision making".

Bahrain Internet Exchange awards Networking Expansion Project to Almoayed Group

Bahrain Internet Exchange (BIX), the Internet Gateway of Kingdom of Bahrain for various ISPs has recently awarded Almoayed Data Group (ADG) the tender to supply and deploy Network Equipments at its second site in Juffair.

The signing ceremony was held in the Ministry of Transportation building which was attended by senior executives of BIX & ADG. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Ali Al-Khalifa the chairman for BIX along with Nabeel Almoayed, chairman for Almoayed Data Group (ADG) signed the contract agreements. ADG, being Cisco Silver partner shall be deploying the state of the art CISCO high-end equipments for the new project.

Since 2005, Bahrain Internet Exchange has been providing internet services to the ISPs in the telecom sector of Bahrain. Keeping in mind the country's vision of open telecommunication market in the past couple of years, BIX had tremendous growth in its business and number of customers through its first internet gateway installed at Seef.

As the telecom sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain is growing and there is more demand for internet bandwidth and its services, BIX intends to become a multi-homed transit service provider to provide better services and high internet bandwidth which will enhance the load balancing and load sharing features as well as improve the quality of service offered to the clients. To meet the growing demand of Internet, BIX is in the process of creating new redundant internet gateway site in Juffair. This site is a major step towards BIX expansion plan for the coming years to remain within the technology trends and meet customers demand.

Addax Bank appoints Almoayed Systems Group for Operations Risk Solution deployment

Bahrain-based Addax Bank yesterday announced the appointment of Almoayed Group for the deployment of operational risk management solution at its head office in the Kingdom. The solution is designed and developed by Rocsys, an Indian software company based in Hyderabad.
Under the agreement, Almoayed Group will facilitate the implementation of Operational risk product, which was developed by Rocsys as a comprehensive offering to address operational risk management needs of banks in compliance with BASEL II guidelines.
The solution will enable Addax Bank to perform operational risk monitoring in a methodical way. By identifying the key risk events, Addax Bank will have a comprehensive view to mitigate the risks factors present in any Investment Banking operations.
The system has built-in statistical tools for analysing the level of risk, direction of movement of risk and assessing capital as per advanced measurement approach.

Almoayed Group unveils major expansion plan

Pension Fund Commission 1st Government entity in Bahrain to get ISO 27001 certification

Pension Fund Commission (PFC) has recently been awarded the ISO 27001:2005 Certification for Information Security, making it the first government entity in Bahrain to achieve this. ISO 27001 is the globally recognized standard for protecting against information security risks and getting certified against this standard demonstrates high level of security maturity for an organization. The ISO 27001 standard has been implemented by PFC in partnership with Almoayed Group, the leading IT company in the Kingdom and Paladion Networks, a Globally acclaimed Information Security firm.

Being the first government entity to be certified is a significant milestone for PFC. With the rise in usage of information technology in government sector and move towards higher levels of e-governance, the security and privacy of data and communication gains in importance. PFC, like other government entities, is the custodian of critical personal information of citizens and also carries out financial transactions over electronic media. Realizing the risks of security compromises and data breaches, PFC initiated the measure towards implementing strong security controls in line with International best practices of ISO 27001.
